Vintage Cafes in Melaka

January 2, 2018

Here's a list of four vintage cafes I've visited around my hometown in Melaka during the last semester break. Decided to record some footages and compile them into a video, just for the fun of it. Don't forget to check it out at the end of this post! :)

Hands down the best cafe in Melaka, which in my language, means good food + good coffee + good vibes. The place has an abundance of natural light and greenery, aside from their interesting old school furniture and decors. Let their French Toast (RM16.90) seduce you, before you indulge your tastebuds in the delicately sweet gula melaka of the Local Pandan Pancake (RM13.90). Try their Hot Matcha Latte (RM11) if you're a matcha fan like me.

2. Locahouz
Located away from the main touristy spots, you can count on this hidden gem along Jalan Bukit Cina for some quiet brunch, coffee or dessert time. This well preserved heritage building also houses beautiful paintings and quirky knick-knacks.

3. Sin See Tai
This sister cafe of The Daily Fix is definitely the younger and more rebellious one for sure, judging from the striking red neon lights reading 'Stay Curious'. Their granola bowl does not have a fixed set of fruits. It all depends on the available fresh fruits they have on that day. Too bad their food menu was on hold during the time I visited. I wanted to try their Avocado Bacon Toast........

Situated along Jonker Street, this new kid on the block with its attractive neon sign (who doesn't want to take pictures with it?) gives out a classy vintage vibe with its beautiful murals and spacious interior. Soak in the good vibes as you sip on an Iced Latte and tuck into all-day breakfast classics like the Big Breakfast.

Like what you see? You might want to check these places off your wishlist the next time you visit Melaka ;)
